RE: I prefer the older Star Fleet Battles term for the same sort of thing, the "Kaufman Retrograde". I prefer the another Trek term for it; "Klingon Saber-dance" The term isn't from Star Fleet Battles, but it is from the computerized form Starfleet Command, and refers to sailing around your opponent from just beyond their weapon range, sailing in just long enough to slash them. I guess you could also call it "Death by a thousand cuts" :)
