The adaptation of Carcassonne for Xbox Live is pretty well done. Unlike the version of Settlers of Catan, you can actually play multiplayer locally, which may retire my physical copy of vanilla Carcassonne for a good while. Scoring is SO much easier with the Xbox version, and it just plays quicker overall. I've only tried one multiplayer match but it was quite fun.
But the best feature? The fact that you can play against AIs. Not because I want the single player practice, but because Elise and I really like to play Carcassonne together, and I'm a bit too much of a cut-throat player to make our 1v1 games of it quite the casual social experience they ought to be. With the two of us and two AIs, I can go to town on the AI players with no guilt, and we can enjoy the game a lot more.
